Being on a budget, I was not able to splurge on many crazy purchases this year. My one big project was to get the official 40th Anniversary HC San Diego Comic-Con book signed by as many people whose work I enjoy as possible. Here are the results of that adventure… On top of that project, I [...] Saturday was a lot of running around, seeing as much as possible that I have been missing and standing in lines that I probably shouldn’t have. I bought the last one right as they were [...] Just got back from the gallery opening and talk for David Mack’s The Alchemy exhibition at St. Edward’s University. I had a great time…David is a great speaker and really explains the process behind his work well. The audience was very involved and asked lots of questions. I had a chance to chat with David [...] Events of the day, but first a random image that I forgot to post a few weeks back: Someone’s room service from the Hyatt Regency Houston when we stayed there. Not really sure why I took that photo, but something told me that I should, so there you go. Today, I dropped Nathan off to resume his [...] Here’s an interim update post of the original commissions/sketches that I was able to pick up during this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Unfortunately, they’re small, digital pics and not nice, big, flatbed scans, but I’ll get those done once we’re back in Austin. For now, this will have to do.
