Today is my birthday! I’m getting old. Oh well. Nothing big planned, which is nice. It’s the first day that we haven’t had a major “thing” planned so far this vacation, I think. Tomorrow is Sea World which should be fun. Haven’t been to a Sea World since high school, I think. Since we didn’t have anything [...] The plan for today was to go to the Mitsuwa Marketplace for lunch and shopping and then a Padres game in the evening. I found Mitsuwa a few years back when I was just looking for a Japanese bookstore in town, and ended up finding a place that I have to go at least once [...] Brad, Mandy, Becky and I went to the Dragon Boat Races today which are also part of an Asian culture festival. We stopped by the Farmer’s Market on the way down and picked up some wonderful looking veggies for later this week. The food at the festival was pretty good, though the sticky rice was [...] Similar to Nintendogs, there’s an upcoming Nintendo DS game for cat lovers. It will be released in April in Japan as Yume Neko DS and the commercial looks really cute: |
